Janhvi Kapoor Opens Up About Heartbreak and Reconciliation with Shikhar Pahariya

Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor has candidly discussed her past relationship with Shikhar Pahariya, revealing that he was the only person to have caused her heartbreak—only for him to mend it each time. In a recent interview with Hauterrfly, Kapoor shared insights into the tumultuous yet enduring connection she had with Pahariya.

Kapoor recounted the cycle of breakups and reconciliations she experienced with Pahariya. “In the couple of years of my periods, every month I would break up with this person,” she explained. She described how the initial shock of their breakups would eventually wear off, only for her to return, apologetic and emotional. Kapoor admitted she struggled to understand the reasons behind this behavior, describing it as “very extreme.”

Despite the emotional rollercoaster, Kapoor emphasized that Pahariya was the only person who truly broke her heart—only to help heal it in the end. “I have genuinely experienced heartbreak only one time in life, but the same person came back and put my heart together. So, it was all good,” she said.

Kapoor and Pahariya dated for several years before she entered Bollywood. After their initial split, she was briefly linked with her Dhadak co-star Ishaan Khatter. However, following her breakup with Khatter, Kapoor and Pahariya rekindled their relationship.

In addition to discussing her personal life, Kapoor is also looking forward to her upcoming film, Ulajh. The trailer for Ulajh features Kapoor as Suhana, the youngest Deputy High Commissioner at the London embassy, who faces a high-stakes mission under intense scrutiny. The film also stars Gulshan Devaiah as a mysterious undercover agent and Roshan Mathew in a supporting role. The trailer hints at a dangerous internal leak that threatens the lives of undercover agents and puts Suhana in a desperate struggle for survival.
