Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah Actor Gurucharan Singh Opens Up About His Disappearance and Return

Gurucharan Singh, known for his role in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, recently addressed the concerns surrounding his sudden disappearance in April 2024. The actor, who vanished for nearly a month, returned home in May, leaving his fans, co-stars, and family worried.

In an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, Gurucharan Singh shed light on the reasons behind his absence and his current situation. Contrary to speculations suggesting financial troubles, Singh clarified that his disappearance was not due to an inability to repay loans. “I didn’t disappear because I was in debt or because of my inability to repay the loan,” he stated. “Karz toh mujhpar aaj bhi hai (I still have loans to pay). Niyat meri acchi hai aur udhar lekar abhi tak mein credit card and EMIs ki payment kiye jaraha hoon (My intentions are good. I am borrowing money from people to pay credit card bills and bank EMIs).”

Singh also expressed his desire to return to work, appealing to industry professionals. “I want to tell the industry people, please, I’m available, I need work. I want to work with my heart because I enjoy working,” he said. The actor emphasized his eagerness to contribute meaningfully, not just by sharing real-life experiences that could benefit others, but also by actively participating in projects that resonate with his passion.

Regarding his decision to return home, Singh revealed that he had embarked on a spiritual journey. During his time away, he sought guidance from supernatural sources and spent nights in Gurudwaras. His visit to the Golden Temple in Amritsar was particularly transformative. Singh shared that a divine intervention at the temple played a crucial role in his decision to come back home.
