Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor has been discharged from the hospital following a severe bout of food poisoning. Kapoor’s father, Boney Kapoor, confirmed her release, stating, “She was discharged this morning. She is much better now.” The actor is now recuperating at home and expected to resume promotional activities for her upcoming film, Ulajh.
Kapoor was hospitalized earlier this week in Mumbai after experiencing a serious case of food poisoning. According to reports, she was admitted to a hospital in South Mumbai on Thursday, with her father, sister Khushi Kapoor, and alleged boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya by her side throughout her treatment.
Sources revealed that Kapoor, who had returned to Mumbai from Chennai on Tuesday, began feeling unwell on Wednesday, leading to her hospitalization. Despite her improvement, she was initially reported to be struggling with weakness.
The actress had recently been balancing personal and professional commitments, including attending the wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. She had also been actively promoting her forthcoming film, Ulajh, where she stars as Suhana Bhatia, a young diplomat caught in a complex web of international intrigue. Directed by Sudhanshu Saria, Ulajh features a strong cast including Adil Hussain, Meiyang Chang, Rajendra Gupta, and Jitendra Joshi. The film, scripted by Sudhanshu Saria and Parveez Shaikh with dialogues by Atika Chauhan, is scheduled for release on August 2.
