Nupur Shikhare was born on October 17, 1985, in Pune, a year after Aamir Khan’s debut in Bollywood with the film “Holi.” He pursued his education in Mumbai after spending his early years in Pune.
Shikhare, a fitness enthusiast, is recognized for his expertise as a fitness coach. His clientele includes not only Ira Khan but also notable personalities like Aamir Khan himself and actress Sushmita Sen. He frequently shares glimpses of his workout routines on his Instagram handle, @nupur_popeye, drawing parallels with the iconic cartoon character known for his robust physique and health-conscious habits.
Beyond his fitness pursuits, Nupur’s family holds ties to the performing arts. His mother, Pritam Shikhare, is a Kathak dancer and a respected exponent in the field. She has also trained budding actress Renee Sen, daughter of Sushmita Sen.
Nupur and Ira’s relationship blossomed during the COVID-19 lockdown while Nupur was training Aamir Khan, and Ira was residing with her father. Last September, Nupur proposed to Ira, an intimate moment that they joyously shared on Instagram. Their engagement ceremony took place in November, culminating in a heartfelt proposal reaffirming their commitment.
