Prasanth Varma Addresses HanuMan OTT Release Delay, Fans Await Digital Premiere

Director Prasanth Varma’s superhero film “HanuMan,” starring Teja Sajja, Amritha Aiyer, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Vinay Rai, has garnered significant attention since its theatrical release in January. However, fans eagerly anticipating its digital premiere have been left puzzled by the delays in its OTT release.

Initially scheduled to stream on Maha Shivaratri (March 8), the OTT release of “HanuMan” faced unexpected delays, disappointing many fans. While the Hindi version of the film is set to stream on JioCinema from March 16, there remains uncertainty regarding the Telugu version’s release on Zee5.

Addressing the concerns of fans, director Prasanth Varma clarified that the delay in the OTT release was not intentional. In a statement shared on social media, Varma expressed, “HanuMan OTT streaming delay was not intentional! We have been working tirelessly round the clock to sort things and bring the film to you asap! Our intention is always to give you nothing but the best! Please try to understand and continue supporting us! Thank you!”

Additionally, the official Zee5 handle confirmed the upcoming release of “HanuMan” on their platform with English subtitles, urging fans to stay tuned for further updates.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also recently met with the team behind “HanuMan” and praised their efforts. Shah commended the film for showcasing Bharat’s spiritual traditions and the emergence of superheroes from them, wishing the team success for their future projects.

“HanuMan,” despite its clash with other releases like “Guntur Kaaram,” “Saindhav,” and “Naa Saami Ranga,” managed to hold its ground at the box office. The film narrates the story of Hanumanthu (Teja), a young man who gains superpowers after encountering a totem in his village. With the support of his sister (Varalaxmi) and lover (Amritha), he confronts a capitalistic villain (Vinay), embodying a tale of standing up for one’s people against adversities.
