"GV Prakash Kumar and Saindhavi Announce Separation After 11 Years of Marriage"

Music composer-actor GV Prakash Kumar and his wife-singer Saindhavi have made a heartfelt announcement about their separation after 11 years of marriage. The couple shared a similar statement on their respective Instagram accounts, just over a month before their upcoming 11th wedding anniversary, asking for privacy and understanding during this difficult time.

In his statement, Prakash expressed, “After much reflection, Saindhavi and I have decided to part ways for the sake of our mental peace and betterment while preserving our mutual respect for each other.” He also emphasized the importance of understanding and support from the media, friends, and fans during this deeply personal transition.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2013 after being schoolmates, welcomed their daughter Anvi in 2020. They have collaborated on numerous musical projects and achieved success with several chart-topping hits. Prakash, who is the nephew of renowned musician AR Rahman and the son of AR Reihana, has a diverse portfolio in the music industry, working on projects across Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi cinema.

Last year, on their 10th wedding anniversary, Saindhavi had shared a heartfelt post on Instagram, expressing gratitude and love for Prakash. However, the recent announcement marks a significant change in their relationship as they navigate this new phase in their lives.

Prakash’s upcoming projects include composing for films like Vikram’s “Thangalaan,” Kangana Ranaut’s “Emergency,” Akshay Kumar’s “Sarfira,” Nithiin’s “Robin Hood,” Suryia’s untitled film, among others. Additionally, he is set to act in films such as “Idimuzhakkam,” “13,” “Kalvan,” and “Dear.”
