The internet has been rife with rumors about Bollywood actor Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja’s alleged separation. However, Sunita has now put all speculations to rest, asserting that no one can separate her from Govinda.
Addressing the rumors, Sunita clarified that their decision to live separately at times was merely a matter of convenience. She explained, “Alag-alag rehne ka matlab yeh hai ki jab unhone politics join ki thi, tab hamari beti badi ho rahi thi, aur uss samay kai karyakarta ghar par aate the.” (Living separately means that when he joined politics, our daughter was growing up, and many party workers used to visit our home.)
She further stated that now, with their daughter grown up, they have made an arrangement that suits their comfort. “Ab jab beti jawan ho gayi hai, hum ghar mein aaram se shorts pehen kar ghoomte hain, isliye humne samne hi ek office le liya tha. Agar iss duniya mein koi mai ka laal mujhe aur Govinda ko alag kar sakta hai, toh samne aakar dikhaye.” (Now that our daughter is grown up, we can move around freely at home in our shorts, so we took an office space right in front of our house. If anyone in this world thinks they can separate me and Govinda, let them come forward and try.)
Previously, in an interview with Hindi Rush, Sunita had shared insights into their living arrangement. She mentioned that Govinda often stays at his bungalow after late meetings and gatherings, while she prefers staying in their apartment with their children.
“We have two houses; a bungalow opposite our apartment. I live in the flat with my children, while Govinda often stays in the bungalow after late-night meetings. He enjoys talking and gathering people around, while I prefer a quieter life with my kids,” Sunita explained.
Govinda and Sunita tied the knot in March 1987 and publicly announced their marriage in 1988 after welcoming their daughter, Tina. They later had a son, Yashvardhan, in 1997.
