Sunita Ahuja Dismisses Divorce Rumours, Says Govinda 'Can Never Leave His Family for a Stupid Woman'

Amid persistent rumours about a rift in her marriage, Sunita Ahuja has come forward to firmly dismiss speculation about her and Bollywood star Govinda parting ways after 38 years of marriage. In a candid interview with Times Now, Sunita reiterated her faith in their enduring bond and called the divorce rumours baseless.

“Govinda can never leave his family for any stupid person or stupid woman,” Sunita asserted. “The day it’s confirmed, or if you hear it directly from me or Govinda, that will be a different matter. But I don’t think Govinda can live without me, nor can I live without Govinda.”

Her statement comes after social media and gossip columns recently buzzed with unverified claims about the couple heading for separation. Putting all such speculation to rest, Sunita urged people to verify facts before jumping to conclusions. “Rumour, rumour, rumour — first ask whether it’s even true. I will never accept it, and if anyone has the courage, they should ask me directly,” she added.

Sunita further expressed her deep belief that divine grace would continue to protect her family: “If anything like this ever happens, I’ll be the first to come forward and speak to the media. But I truly believe that God will never break my home.”

The couple shares a history spanning nearly four decades. Sunita and Govinda met when he was in the final year of his B.Com and she was in the 9th grade. At the time, Sunita lived with her sister, who was married to Govinda’s maternal uncle. Despite a bumpy beginning, their relationship flourished, and the two secretly tied the knot in 1986 — years before Govinda became a Bollywood superstar.

They revealed their marriage four years later and have since built a family together. They are proud parents to Yashvardhan Ahuja and Tina Ahuja. Their son Yashvardhan is now preparing to make his Bollywood debut, continuing the family’s film legacy.

With Sunita’s strong words, the couple once again silences the rumour mill, reaffirming their commitment and love for each other.
