Gadar 2 Box Office Collection Day 16: Sunny Deol's Film Crosses ₹400 Crore Mark in India

The sequel to the 2001 hit film “Gadar: Ek Prem Katha,” titled “Gadar 2,” has been making waves at the box office, and on its sixteenth day of release, it witnessed a remarkable jump in its collection. According to reports from Sacnilk.com, the film garnered nearly ₹13 crore on its third Saturday, solidifying its position as a blockbuster hit. “Gadar 2,” directed by Anil Sharma and produced by Zee Studios, stars Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma in pivotal roles.

As per early estimates, the movie’s earnings have been nothing short of impressive. In its first week, “Gadar 2” collected ₹284.63 crore, followed by a second-week collection of ₹134.47 crore. The film’s total collection so far stands at an impressive ₹438.7 crore. Notably, “Gadar 2” has secured its place as the all-time third-highest Hindi nett movie, according to the report.

The film’s storyline follows Tara Singh, portrayed by Sunny Deol, as he ventures across the border to save his son (played by Utkarsh Sharma) who is held captive in Pakistan. Trade analysts anticipate that “Gadar 2” will rival the domestic box office records of acclaimed movies like “Pathaan” and “Baahubali 2.” While “Pathaan” holds the record for the highest domestic grosser at ₹543.05 crore, “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion” boasts a lifetime domestic collection of ₹510.99 crore.

Sunny Deol expressed his gratitude to fans as “Gadar 2” crossed the ₹400 crore milestone. In an Instagram video, he thanked the audience for their overwhelming response and support. He attributed the film’s success to the love and appreciation it received from viewers.

Additionally, the film’s significance extended to the Parliament, where a special screening was held in London and at the New Parliament House in India for Lok Sabha members. This move showcased the film’s resonance with audiences across different platforms.
