Last year, in January, Bollywood actress Rakhi Sawant made headlines when she announced her marriage to Adil Khan Durrani. However, in a surprising turn of events, Adil Khan Durrani, Rakhi Sawant’s ex-husband, has recently married Bigg Boss 12 contestant Somi Khan.
Taking to Instagram on March 3, Adil Khan Durrani shared a series of pictures from his wedding album, showcasing the joyous occasion. The images captured the couple holding a frame containing their nikah nama (marriage certificate), with Somi Khan looking radiant in a bright red embellished lehenga, while Adil opted for an off-white embroidered sherwani. The album also offered glimpses of the nikah ceremony, depicting the couple’s happiness and celebration.
Accompanying the photos was a heartfelt note from Adil Khan Durrani, expressing gratitude for the blessings received and appreciation for the love and support from family and friends. He expressed eagerness to embark on the journey of marriage with Somi Khan and requested prayers for a blessed life together.
Responding to the announcement, Somi’s sister Saba Khan expressed her joy with emotive comments, while former Bigg Boss contestant Archana Gautam extended her congratulations.
It is noteworthy that Rakhi Sawant and Adil Khan Durrani’s marriage, announced in January last year, took a tumultuous turn shortly after. Rakhi Sawant accused Adil Khan Durrani of domestic violence and infidelity, leading to Adil’s arrest by Mumbai Police in February 2023. Adil, in turn, accused Rakhi of dishonesty regarding her marital status and financial matters. After months of legal proceedings, Rakhi Sawant confirmed their divorce in March.
