Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan had an unsettling experience at the Mumbai airport on Thursday as he made his way to Abu Dhabi for the upcoming International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA). Several videos surfaced online showing the actor being surrounded by fans and security personnel upon his arrival. One video, in particular, captured a nerve-wracking moment when a fan rushed through the crowd, causing Shah Rukh to briefly lose his balance.
In the clip, Shah Rukh was seen stepping out of his car, flanked by his bodyguards and security team. Despite his team forming a protective ring around him, excited fans surged forward, shouting his name. One overenthusiastic fan, a girl, pushed her way toward the actor, causing him to momentarily trip to one side. However, Shah Rukh maintained his composure, waved at the crowd, and made his way inside the airport.
For his journey, Shah Rukh kept his look casual and comfortable, sporting a black sweatshirt, matching pants, shoes, a cap, and dark sunglasses.
Internet Reactions
The video of the incident quickly went viral on social media, with many expressing concern. One fan wrote, “The real star of the Indian film industry.” Another commented, “The way some fans are screaming, it sounds scary.” Criticism was also directed at the lack of stronger security measures. “The girl pushed his team and tried to reach him. SRK is such a big actor. The security should be stronger,” a user pointed out. Many others praised Shah Rukh for maintaining his cool, with one writing, “SRK is SRK. How he kept his calm. But this isn’t done. The girl nearly jumped on him.”
