The revelation surfaced in a profile by The Indian Express for Sunday Express Eye, shedding light on Diljit’s closely guarded personal life. According to the profile, Diljit is described as an intensely private person, with little information available about his family. However, his friends have disclosed that his wife is of Indian-American descent, and they have a son together. The report further mentioned that both his wife and son reside in the United States, while his parents are based in Ludhiana.
This revelation offers a rare glimpse into the personal life of the acclaimed actor-singer, who has gained immense popularity for his versatile talents and impactful performances. Diljit has recently been in the limelight for his participation in Ed Sheeran’s Mumbai concert and his role in the film “Crew.”
In a previous interview with YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, Diljit shared insights into his life journey, revealing that he never experienced heartbreak but also spoke about growing distant from his family at a young age. He recounted leaving his village at eleven years old to live with his maternal uncle in Ludhiana, which led to a gradual disconnect from his parents due to the lack of communication methods like mobile phones in those days.
Currently, Diljit Dosanjh is gearing up for the release of “Amar Singh Chamkila,” an Imtiaz Ali film where he plays the titular role. The Netflix release is based on the real-life story of the Punjabi singer Amar Singh Chamkila and his wife Amarjot, who were tragically assassinated at a young age. Parineeti Chopra co-stars as Amarjot in the film, produced by Mohit Choudhary, Select Media Holdings LLP, Saregama, and Window Seat Films.
