Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh recently entertained a massive audience in Ahmedabad as part of his Dil-Luminati Tour. However, the show took an amusing turn when Diljit spotted an unexpected group of fans enjoying his performance from a nearby hotel balcony without tickets.
The Balcony Surprise
A video circulating on social media captures Diljit mid-performance, pausing the music with a surprised expression as he noticed the fans perched on the hotel balcony. Pointing towards them, he quipped, “Yeh jo hotel ki balcony mein baithe hai, aap ka toh bara accha bhi hoya. Yeh hotel waale game kar gaye. Without tickets, huh?” (Those sitting in the hotel balcony, you’ve had a good deal. The hotel outsmarted us. Without tickets, huh?)
The camera then panned to show a nearby hotel where several fans could be seen enjoying the live performance from their balconies. Diljit resumed singing but humorously gestured toward the spectators, acknowledging their free entertainment.
Fan Reactions
The incident sparked a wave of reactions online. A social media post shared with the caption, “Gift city club vale game khel gaye (The Gift City Club outsmarted him),” drew numerous responses. One fan joked, “Diljit Dosanjh, next time hotel book karenge (we’ll book a hotel next time).” Another commented, “They paid more than the ticket price,” while some noted the financial implications for the singer, saying, “@diljitdosanjh suffered a huge loss.”
A Stand Against Alcohol References
Diljit’s Ahmedabad concert also saw him addressing a notice he received before his Hyderabad show, urging him to avoid songs that reference alcohol, drugs, and violence. In response, Diljit vowed to start a movement against alcohol if liquor shops across the country were shut down.
He even altered the lyrics of his hit songs Lemonade and 5 Taara, which typically mention “daaru” (alcohol) and “theka” (liquor store), to comply with the directive.
Upcoming Performances
Following his successful show in Ahmedabad, Diljit’s Dil-Luminati Tour will continue with performances in Lucknow on November 22, Pune on November 24, Kolkata on November 30, Bengaluru on December 6, Indore on December 8, and Chandigarh on December 14. The tour will conclude in Guwahati on December 29.
Diljit’s unique blend of humor and charisma, combined with his commitment to meaningful change, continues to endear him to fans across the globe.
