Expectant mother Deepika Padukone was spotted enjoying a dinner outing in Mumbai just weeks before her due date. Accompanied by her husband Ranveer Singh’s family, Deepika opted for a casual and comfortable look for the evening.
The soon-to-be mom, who is due to give birth to her first child with Ranveer in September, chose a relaxed black ensemble for the outing. She wore a long black dress paired with white shoes and layered it with a black blazer to discreetly cover her baby bump. Deepika was seen entering a Mumbai restaurant with her mother-in-law, surrounded by heavy security.
Deepika and Ranveer, both 38, are eagerly anticipating their first child’s arrival. The couple announced their pregnancy in February through an Instagram post that read, “September 2024,” featuring a picture of baby shoes and clothing. The two stars, who married in a private ceremony at Lake Como, Italy, in 2018, are preparing to welcome their new addition later this year.
In addition to her personal life, Deepika is set to reunite with Ranveer on the big screen. They will star together in Rohit Shetty’s upcoming ensemble cop drama, Singham Again, scheduled for release this Diwali. Ranveer will reprise his role as Simmba, while Deepika is expected to be introduced as Lady Singham. The film will also feature a star-studded cast including Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, and Tiger Shroff.
Ranveer is also gearing up for several other film projects. He will appear in Aditya Dhar’s next action film, alongside Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and Akshaye Khanna. Additionally, he will headline Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3 next year, where he will star opposite Kiara Advani.
Meanwhile, Deepika’s recent work includes her role in Nag Ashwin’s Telugu dystopian sci-fi drama, Kalki 2898 AD, where she starred alongside Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan. The film, which has grossed over ₹1000 crore, will premiere on Netflix India on August 22. Deepika’s portrayal as a mother in the film has been widely praised, and she also made an extended guest appearance in Atlee’s Jawan last year, where she starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan, her co-star from her 2007 debut film, Om Shanti Om.
