The box office performance of the films “Do Aur Do Pyaar” and “Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2” on their fifth day reflects a mixed bag of reviews and audience reception. While receiving commendations from celebrities and fans, both films faced challenges in terms of box office earnings.
“Do Aur Do Pyaar,” directed by Shirsha Guha Thakurta and featuring Vidya Balan, Pratik Gandhi, Ileana D’Cruz, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, garnered positive reviews for its performances and storyline. However, its box office numbers tell a different story. According to a report on Sacnilk.com, the film collected an estimated ₹28 lakh nett on day 5, accumulating approximately ₹2.89 crore nett in India over five days. The film’s earnings saw a gradual decline from ₹55 lakh on day 1 to ₹26 lakh on day 4.
On the other hand, “Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2” (LSD 2), directed by Dibakar Banerjee and produced by Ekta Kapoor, struggled to make a significant impact at the box office. The film, featuring Paritosh Tiwari, Bonita Rajpurohit, Abhinav Singh, Swastika Mukherjee, Mouni Roy, and Uorfi Javed, earned around ₹8 lakh on day 5, with a total collection of approximately ₹81 lakh nett in India so far.
“LSD 2” delves into three distinct narratives that explore Dibakar Banerjee’s perspective on contemporary internet culture. Despite its intriguing premise, the film’s box office performance saw a decline after an initial collection of ₹15 lakh on day 1.
In contrast, “Do Aur Do Pyaar” revolves around the complexities of extramarital affairs, featuring a star-studded cast delivering compelling performances. However, its commercial success did not match the critical acclaim it received.
