Swatantra Veer Savarkar's Box Office Success: Randeep Hooda Film Surpasses ₹3 Crore Mark in India

The biographical drama “Swatantra Veer Savarkar” continues to make waves at the Indian box office, showcasing a strong performance in its early days of release. The film, which hit theatres on March 22 in both Hindi and Marathi languages, has garnered significant attention and positive reviews, particularly for Randeep Hooda’s remarkable portrayal of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar.

According to reports from Sacnilk.com, “Swatantra Veer Savarkar” grossed over ₹3 crore within two days of its release in India. The film opened to a respectable ₹1.05 crore on its first day, with the second-day collections reaching an impressive ₹2.25 crore nett, as per early estimates. This brings the total box office collection for the film to ₹3.30 crore nett in India.

Critics have praised Randeep Hooda’s performance, highlighting his dedication to the role and his physical transformation, which included losing 30 kilograms for authenticity. The Hindustan Times review lauded Hooda’s portrayal of Savarkar’s journey from a heroic leader to a vulnerable prisoner, capturing the essence of his struggles during India’s fight for independence.

“Swatantra Veer Savarkar” is a cinematic depiction of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar’s life, a controversial yet influential figure in India’s freedom movement. The film delves into Savarkar’s trials and tribulations, showcasing his resilience and unwavering spirit in the face of adversity.
