Ishq Vishk Rebound Box Office Collection Day 2: Rohit Saraf and Pashmina Roshan Starrer Earns Just Over ₹2 Crore in India

The much-anticipated sequel from the Ishq Vishk franchise, Ishq Vishk Rebound, starring Rohit Saraf and Pashmina Roshan, has had a modest performance at the box office. On its second day, the film managed to earn ₹1.15 crore, bringing its total collection to ₹2.15 crore, according to Sacnilk.com.

Despite the initial excitement, the film has only garnered an average response from the audience. Directed by Nipun Avinash Dharmadhikari, Ishq Vishk Rebound has yet to make a significant impact. The film saw an overall 16.82 percent Hindi occupancy on Saturday, reflecting its lukewarm reception.

On its opening day, Ishq Vishk Rebound earned ₹1 crore. The second day’s earnings of ₹1.15 crore have brought the total to ₹2.15 crore nett in India. The film’s performance so far indicates a challenging path ahead to achieve box office success.

The plot revolves around best friends who fall in love and navigate the complexities of their relationship. Alongside Rohit Saraf and Pashmina Roshan, the film features Naila Grewal and Jibraan Khan in romantic roles. Rohit Saraf recently clarified at an event that Ishq Vishk Rebound is not a remake or sequel but a new story within the same franchise.

He told ANI, “It is not a remake or sequel of Ishq Vishk. The thing common between the two films is that they belong to the same franchise. But it’s a new story altogether, a love story about Gen Z.” The original Ishq Vishk, released in 2003, starred Shahid Kapoor, Amrita Rao, Vishal Malhotra, and Shenaz Treasurywala.

The film has received mixed reviews. According to the Hindustan Times, “At 106 minutes, Ishq Vishk Rebound is one of the shortest films in recent times, but even then it doesn’t engage you like you would want to be in a romcom. Dharmadhikari has co-written the story with four other writers — Dr Vinay Chhawal, Vaishali Naik, Ketan Pedgaonkar, and Akarsh Khurana, and perhaps that’s why at places you feel every writer has written each character. The patchy screenplay makes the storyline look disjointed at times, and you miss the flow. As for comedy, I can’t recall a single joke that left me laughing out loud. There might be a scene or two that are funny, but that’s about it. For a Gen Z film, Ishq Vishk Rebound surprisingly doesn’t refresh the template, sticking to the same vocabulary with characters saying the same old, cliched lines.”
