Actress Dalljiet Kaur has shared a deeply personal update regarding her relationship with her estranged husband, Kenya-based businessman Nikhil Patel. In a recent Instagram post, Kaur revealed her decision to redesign a meaningful tattoo that once symbolized her commitment to a new chapter in her life.
The tattoo, which she referred to as “Take 2,” was meant to represent her strength to love and trust again after her previous marriage. Kaur had hoped that this new relationship would provide her son Jaydon with the family experience she deeply desired. She explained that “Take 2” also signified her second chance at finding love and stability.
However, in her post, Kaur expressed disillusionment with the relationship. She stated, “Now I know there was no such thing as faith and loyalty, love and respect, togetherness and commitment. It was all about numbers from the very beginning and loyalty was never on the table. Numbers must be high so the switch happened quickly.” Kaur’s revelation underscores her sense of betrayal and her realization that her husband’s commitment was not genuine.
The actress also addressed her followers’ suggestions regarding the redesign of her tattoo. She invited creative ideas for the new design, aiming for a fresh start and healing. “Now I know, when I was being told ‘we will fix this,’ there was a replacement already being fixed too. For all those who are insisting on redesigning my tattoo, yes I am going to do it. Come up with good ideas, we can do something fun and creative so the healing finally begins,” Kaur wrote.
Kaur and Patel married in March 2023 and moved to Kenya to start their life together. However, the relationship faced difficulties, and Kaur returned to India with Jaydon in February this year. The couple’s separation became evident when they unfollowed each other on Instagram and removed several posts, fueling speculation about their split. Kaur had previously hinted at marital issues through social media posts about infidelity. The separation was later confirmed by Patel in an interview, and Kaur subsequently filed an FIR against him, expressing her gratitude to the Mumbai Police for their support.
Prior to her marriage to Patel, Dalljiet Kaur was married to actor Shalin Bhanot, with whom she shares her son Jaydon. Kaur’s current focus is on co-parenting her son and moving forward from her recent experiences.
