Chennai was abuzz with excitement as the trailer for ‘Chandramukhi 2,’ starring Kangana Ranaut and Raghava Lawrence, was unveiled to an eager audience. The trailer promises a complex and intriguing story, filled with beauty, dance, and mystery.

In ‘Chandramukhi 2,’ Kangana Ranaut takes on the titular role of a dancer in Vettaiyan Raja’s court, renowned for her exceptional beauty and dance skills. The trailer opens with a joint family arriving at a mansion with the intention of resolving a problem. However, they are cautioned against venturing into the southern block of the mansion, home to the captivating Chandramukhi. The storyline takes an unexpected turn as a 200-year-old tale of a king and a court dancer named Chandramukhi emerges, connecting with the present in a mesmerizing way.

At the trailer launch event in Chennai, Kangana Ranaut looked resplendent in a yellow and blue saree paired with a strapless blouse, her hair elegantly tied in a bun adorned with a gajra.

Directed by P Vasu, ‘Chandramukhi 2’ also features an ensemble cast, including Vadivelu, Raadhika Sarathkumar, Lakshmi Menon, Srushti Dange, Mithun Shyam, Mahima Nambiar, Rao Ramesh, Vignesh, Ravi Mariya, Suresh Menon, T. M. Karthik, and Subiksha Krishnan. This film serves as a sequel to the Tamil horror comedy ‘Chandramukhi,’ which was a box office blockbuster starring Rajinikanth and Jyothika in lead roles.

Produced by Lyca Productions and Subaskaran, ‘Chandramukhi 2’ is set to hit the screens on September 15, coinciding with Ganesh Chaturthi. The movie will be released in multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada.

The film’s audio launch, held in Chennai last month, was a grand event. Oscar-winning music composer MM Keeravani, who provided the film’s music, heaped praise on Kangana Ranaut’s performance, calling it “stunning.” Several songs from the film have already been released, with ‘Swagathaanjali’ featuring Kangana as Chandramukhi and ‘Moruniye’ featuring Raghava Lawrence garnering significant attention.

‘Chandramukhi 2’ promises to be a visual and storytelling treat for audiences, with Kangana Ranaut and Raghava Lawrence leading the way in this eagerly awaited sequel.
