He has received 15 National Awards, 5 State Awards, 2 International Awards, 139 District Awards and other social awards for his tireless efforts in guiding 4000 athletes from poor backgrounds to achieve their potential, which has earned him a place in history. He was recently conferred with honorary degrees by the states of Delhi and Himachal Pradesh in appreciation of his exceptional contribution and achievements in sports and social work, and he has also completed his PhD in the field of social and sports from the University of Estonia (Northern Europe).
