
A heated argument over a snacks bill at a theatre screening Pushpa 2: The Rule in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, took a violent turn when the canteen owner allegedly bit a customer’s ear. The incident occurred on Sunday at Kailash Talkies in the Inderganj area and has left the local community shocked.
The Incident
The victim, Shabbir, visited the theatre canteen during the interval of the film to purchase snacks. An argument broke out between Shabbir and the canteen owner, Raju, who accused him of not paying for the food items. The altercation escalated into a physical fight, during which Raju, along with three of his associates, allegedly thrashed Shabbir.
The situation worsened when Raju reportedly bit Shabbir’s ear during the scuffle, as mentioned in the FIR filed by the victim. The accused also allegedly threatened Shabbir with dire consequences.
Police Investigation
Additional Superintendent of Police Niranjan Sharma confirmed the incident and stated that the argument over the food bill led to the violent fight.
“The canteen owner and his three associates allegedly beat Shabbir and also bit his ear while threatening to kill him,” Sharma said.
Shabbir lodged a complaint on Monday, and based on his medical report, a case was registered against three individuals on Tuesday. The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
