BTS' Jungkook Teams Up with DJ Alesso for "Seven" Remix Amidst Plagiarism Allegations

BTS sensation Jungkook is set to captivate fans once again as he announces a thrilling collaboration with Swedish DJ Alesso for a remix of his hit solo track, “Seven.” This exciting news comes in the midst of recent plagiarism allegations that surrounded the original song’s release. The agency, BigHit Music, has confirmed that the remix will be unveiled on August 25 at 1 p.m. KST.

The youngest member of BTS, Jungkook, initially made his solo debut earlier this year with the track “Seven.” Having already partnered with rapper Latto, Jungkook now adds another layer to his musical journey by joining forces with renowned DJ Alesso. The remix promises to infuse fresh energy into the song and is categorized under the Progressive House genre. With its dynamic build-up, distinctive drop sections, synth bass, and vocal chops, the remix is expected to exude a vibrant summer vibe that resonates with fans.

BigHit Music officially announced the exciting news on Weverse, expressing their enthusiasm for the release of Jungkook’s “Seven (ft Latto)- Alesso remix.” The statement conveyed, “Experience an impassioned sound fit for hot summer nights.”

The remix reveal comes just a day after plagiarism allegations were leveled against the original version of “Seven.” Speculations arose that Jungkook’s track borrowed elements from the song “Time of Mask” by Fin KL, released back in 2000. BigHit Music promptly refuted the claims, asserting that the accusations of copyright infringement were baseless.

Addressing the controversy, BigHit Music clarified, “Seven is a song that was made through the collaboration of five foreign composers, and it is a creation that is completely unrelated to the song on a domestic album from 24 years ago like some are claiming. They are one-sided claims that do not meet any criteria such as substantial similarity and principles in determining plagiarism.”

Jungkook’s original single, “Seven,” marked his solo debut and featured rapper Latto alongside actor Han So-hee in the music video. The song achieved remarkable success, breaking records and topping various global charts. With its explicit version also released, “Seven” solidified Jungkook’s prominence as a solo artist within the music industry.

As anticipation builds for the upcoming release of the “Seven” remix in collaboration with DJ Alesso, fans eagerly await the fresh interpretation of this already iconic track.
