The much-anticipated film Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, featuring Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri, has experienced a noticeable dip in its box office performance on its fourth day. Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, the film was released in theaters on October 11, competing with Alia Bhatt’s Jigra.
As per reports from Sacnilk.com, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video earned ₹5.5 crore on its opening day, followed by ₹6.9 crore on day two and ₹6.4 crore on day three. However, the film’s collection took a hit on its first Monday, bringing in an estimated ₹2.25 crore. In total, the film has earned ₹21.05 crore in India so far, with an overall Hindi occupancy rate of 10.96% on Monday.
Comparatively, the film’s earnings are lower than Rajkummar’s previous project, Stree 2, which grossed ₹55.9 crore by its fourth day, and Triptii’s earlier release, Bad Newz, which earned ₹3.5 crore on its fourth day. Interestingly, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video has outperformed Jigra, which has collected ₹18.10 crore, with its fourth-day earnings only amounting to ₹1.50 crore.
Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video also features an ensemble cast that includes Vijay Raaz, Mast Ali, Archana Puran Singh, Mukesh Tiwari, Saharsh Kumar Shukla, Archana Patel, Rakesh Bedi, Tiku Talsania, and Ashwini Kalsekar. The plot revolves around Vicky (played by Rajkummar) and Vidya (Triptii Dimri) as they embark on a comical adventure to recover their missing “suhagraat CD” in Rishikesh, with the help of Mallika Sherawat’s character, Chanda Rani, and their family.
Produced by T-Series Films, Balaji Motion Pictures, Wakaoo Films, and Kathavachak Films, the film’s unique premise and comedic elements have garnered attention, even as its box office collections face challenges.
As the film continues its theatrical run, audiences are keen to see how it will perform in the coming days amid stiff competition from other releases.
