The much-anticipated romantic saga Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, starring Ajay Devgn and Tabu, has struggled to make a significant impact at the box office. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the film had a lukewarm start and continues to face challenges in attracting audiences.
Released on August 2, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha had a below-average opening with a nett collection of ₹1.85 crore on its first day. The film showed minimal growth on its second day, bringing in approximately ₹2.15 crore. This brings the total nett collection for the film to around ₹4 crore in its first two days of release, according to reports from Sacnilk.com.
The film’s performance was modest, with Saturday’s occupancy reported at 10.93 percent in Hindi-speaking regions. The breakdown of the occupancy shows morning shows at 6.57 percent, afternoon shows at 10.28 percent, evening shows at 11.85 percent, and night shows improving slightly to 15 percent.
Comparatively, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha did not fare as well as Ajay Devgn’s previous theatrical release, Maidaan, which earned ₹2.72 crore nett on its second day.
Bourbon Mein Kahan Dum Tha is set against a musical backdrop, weaving a romantic drama spanning two decades, from 2002 to 2023. The film features Shantanu Maheshwari and Saiee Manjrekar in the younger versions of Devgn and Tabu’s characters. This film marks the tenth collaboration between Devgn and Tabu, who have previously worked together on successful projects such as Drishyam, De De Pyaar De, and Bholaa.
Despite the star power and the film’s promising storyline, the slow start and gradual growth in collections suggest that Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha has yet to capture the audience’s interest as hoped. The coming days will be crucial in determining whether the film can gain momentum or if it will continue to face challenges at the box office.
