Actor Arjun Kapoor recently opened up about the struggles and triumphs in his career over the past five years. In an interview with Masala.com, Arjun shared how he has persevered through tough times while remaining hopeful about the goodwill and love he believes exists for him.
A Difficult Journey
Reflecting on his journey, Arjun acknowledged that the last five years have been challenging. “The last couple of years or even the last five years have been difficult for me,” he said, expressing gratitude for the people who have stood by him. “I have believed that there is love out there for me. There are people who want to cheer for me and support me—whether it’s the paying audience, the industry, or the media.”
Rekindling Early Love and Validation
Arjun, who made his debut in 2012 with Ishaqzaade, shared how the overwhelming love he received early in his career motivated him to seek similar validation. “My debut was met with so much love. Somewhere, I just wanted to rekindle that feeling. I’ve waited patiently and respectfully to be loved and appreciated again,” he revealed.
The actor also spoke about finding positivity and energy in his current phase of life. “There’s positivity, energy, excitement, and genuine love. You still have to work hard on the next opportunities and pick them responsibly. I’m really enjoying this phase, where people even call me by my character’s name. It’s a form of validation that feels rewarding,” he added.

Since his debut, Arjun has appeared in notable films such as Gunday, 2 States, Finding Fanny, Half Girlfriend, Panipat, and Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar. While facing ups and downs, he continued to work on diverse projects, including Sardar Ka Grandson, Bhoot Police, Ek Villain Returns, and Kuttey.
