Anthony Mackie Wants Shah Rukh Khan as the Next Avenger in the Marvel Universe

Hollywood star Anthony Mackie, who is gearing up for the release of Captain America: Brave New World, has expressed his desire to see Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan join the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as the next Avenger. Mackie, who plays the titular role in the upcoming film, made this revelation during an interview with influencer Kevin Zingkhai.

Anthony Mackie’s Admiration for Shah Rukh Khan

When asked which Bollywood actor he would recruit as an Avenger, Mackie immediately responded, “I would take Shah Rukh Khan. He is the best.” The statement once again highlights SRK’s massive global fanbase and appeal, which extends far beyond Bollywood. The interview clip, posted by Kevin Zingkhai on Instagram, has since gone viral, sparking excitement among both Marvel and Shah Rukh Khan fans.

Mackie’s Love for India and His Favorite Destination

During the conversation, Mackie also shared his admiration for India, revealing that the Andaman Islands hold a special place in his heart. “Right off the coast of India, there are these little islands called the Andaman Islands, and that’s one of my favorite places in the world,” he said.

A Special Message for Marvel Fans in India

Addressing Indian Marvel fans, Mackie emphasized the values Captain America represents, particularly in today’s world. He said, “Captain America is the best version of us. We all see a part of ourselves in him. We are in a time where we need compassion, understanding, and forgiveness. These are the values we wanted our Captain America to represent in this movie.”

About Captain America: Brave New World

Directed by Julius Onah, Captain America: Brave New World is the fourth installment in the Captain America franchise. The film follows a global conspiracy that leads to an intense showdown between Captain America and Red Hulk, played by Harrison Ford. The movie also stars Danny Ramirez, Xosha Roquemore, Shira Haas, Carl Lumbly, Giancarlo Esposito, Tim Blake Nelson, and Liv Tyler.

The Captain America series began with Captain America: The First Avenger in 2011, followed by Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) and Captain America: Civil War (2016). Now, with Mackie taking over the shield, Brave New World promises to be a thrilling new chapter in the saga.

The film is set to release in India on February 14, 2025, and Mackie’s mention of Shah Rukh Khan has only added to the buzz surrounding it. Whether SRK will ever make his way into the Marvel universe remains to be seen, but fans are already dreaming of the possibilities.
