Hyderabad, August 5, 2024: After weeks of speculation and rumors about a potential rift between director Sukumar and actor Allu Arjun, the highly anticipated film Pushpa 2: The Rule has resumed production. The film’s official X (formerly Twitter) page confirmed that the team is currently filming the climax, much to the relief of fans eagerly awaiting the sequel.
The X account for Pushpa 2: The Rule shared an update on Monday, announcing the shoot of a “spectacular action episode” for the film’s climax. The post included a teaser clip of Allu Arjun, generating excitement among the film’s supporters. The tweet also reiterated that the film is scheduled for a grand worldwide release on December 6, 2024.
The announcement comes after several weeks of speculation about a possible disagreement between Sukumar and Arjun. Reports of a tiff surfaced when Arjun trimmed his beard and took a European vacation with his family, leading to fan concerns and widespread rumors. At one point, actor Fahadh Faasil’s involvement was also questioned, with some speculating that he might be affecting the film’s schedule.
Despite the rumors, the latest update has brought relief to fans, who were anxious about the film’s status. Comments on social media reflect a sense of renewed optimism, with fans expressing their enthusiasm for the film’s progress and its impending release.
Pushpa 2: The Rule is the sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise.
