Mumbai — Akshay Redij, an Indian journalist, photojournalist, and documentary filmmaker, continues to make a significant impact on India’s media landscape with over fifteen years of experience in investigative journalism, digital media, and visual storytelling. Known for his ground-level reporting and editorial leadership, Redij has built a reputation for combining public-interest journalism with strong digital-first newsroom strategies.

Currently, Akshay Redij serves as the Digital Editor of Afternoon Voice, The Democracy News, and Mumbai Manoos. In these roles, he leads editorial planning, long-form narrative journalism, public-interest investigations, and platform-wide digital strategy. His work focuses on strengthening newsroom credibility while adapting journalism to evolving digital ecosystems.

Over the course of his career, Redij has reported extensively on social movements, governance, elections, urban systems, civic campaigns, and institutional accountability.
