The anticipation is building as the first trailer for Akshay Kumar’s forthcoming thriller, “Mission Raniganj,” is unveiled. This gripping film is inspired by the real-life heroics of the late Jaswant Singh Gill, who spearheaded India’s first triumphant coal mine rescue operation.
In the trailer, the story unfolds with a catastrophic mine collapse, trapping a large group of miners deep underground. Their anguished cries for help reverberate through the darkness as they plead for their lives. Above ground, Akshay Kumar, portraying a Sikh engineer, stands resolute and determined to launch a daring rescue mission to save the trapped miners.
Parineeti Chopra, who plays Akshay’s wife in the film, adds depth to the narrative as she stands by his side in this high-stakes race against time. “Mission Raniganj” promises to be a heart-pounding saga of courage and determination in the face of adversity.
The movie, directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, is set to hit theaters on October 6, offering audiences a riveting cinematic experience. Recently, the film’s makers unveiled “Jalsa 2.0,” a track that received an enthusiastic response from fans. Sung and written by Satinder Sartaaj, the song features Akshay and Parineeti dressed in Punjabi attire, showcasing their energetic Bhangra moves to catchy desi beats.
“Mission Raniganj” is produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, and Ajay Kapoor. This film marks Akshay’s second collaboration with director Tinu Suresh Desai, following the success of the crime thriller “Rustom.”
