Akshay Kumar Acknowledges Respect for Indian Passport Abroad Due to PM Modi's Leadership

In a recent interview with Times Now, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar expressed his pride in India’s achievements under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Akshay, who had the unique opportunity to interview PM Modi in 2019, shared his observations about the global perception of India and its citizens.

During the interview, Akshay Kumar remarked, “I think Bharat ne apna kadam aur badhaya hai. Jab hum passport le ke immigration office mei khade hote hain (Bharat has gone a step further. When we show our passport in the immigration office), I’m talking about when we’re abroad, they see it with a lot of respect, a lot of respect. Seedhe unke mooh se nikalta hai (They say instantly), ‘Oh, you’ve come from the country of Modi!'”

Akshay Kumar’s words underscore the positive image of India and its leadership on the global stage. He emphasizes that Indian passports are regarded with respect by airport officials abroad, reflecting the influence and recognition of Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.

In another interview with India Today, Akshay Kumar addressed claims that his films often align with the ruling political party, Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP). He clarified that his film choices are not determined by political affiliations but are driven by compelling stories and the betterment of the country.

“Many times, people say that they promoted Swachh Bharat Mission, and I made Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. They had a Mars Mission, and I made Mission Mangal. Aisa nahi hai (It’s not like that). I also made Airlift when Congress was in power. No one talked about that. Even Mission Raniganj is set during Congress’ tenure. It is about the bigness and goodness and what happened. It doesn’t matter who was in power. What matters is what was done for the betterment of the country,” Akshay explained during the interview.

Akshay Kumar’s latest film, “Mission Raniganj,” is based on the real-life story of Jasvant Singh Gill, a mining engineer who heroically saved 65 miners during the 1989 coal mine collapse in Raniganj, West Bengal. In the film, Akshay portrays Jasvant Singh Gill’s character, showcasing his commitment to portraying inspiring stories that contribute to the betterment of society.

“Mission Raniganj,” directed by Tinu Suresh Desai and produced by Vashu and Jackky Bhagnani’s Pooja Entertainment, was released on October 6 and has garnered ₹13.85 crore at the domestic box office in its first four days, reaffirming Akshay Kumar’s continued impact in the world of Indian cinema.
