"Actor Suriya Suffers Minor Injury During 'Kanguva' Shoot, Film Production Temporarily Paused"

Actor Suriya encountered an unforeseen mishap during the filming of his upcoming project ‘Kanguva,’ leading to a temporary halt in the shoot schedule. While shooting a fight sequence for ‘Kanguva,’ a rope camera lost control and inadvertently fell on Suriya, resulting in minor injuries. The incident, although not severe, prompted an immediate suspension of filming to allow the actor adequate time for recuperation.

The incident transpired during the wee hours around 1:30 a.m. at EVP Film City, impacting the ongoing shooting schedule. As a precautionary measure, the shoot for ‘Kanguva’ has been postponed temporarily. The Nasaratpet police have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the mishap, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the situation.

‘Kanguva’ is anticipated to showcase Suriya in a warrior’s role, with the film touted to be an action-packed drama. Studio Green, in collaboration with UV Creations, is producing this Suriya and Disha Patani-starrer, slated for an early 2024 release.

Previously, the makers had unveiled the film’s title through a captivating teaser video. The teaser hinted at an intriguing narrative, featuring glimpses of an eagle, a dog, and a masked warrior on horseback, accompanied by a formidable army, setting the stage for an enthralling storyline.

Aside from ‘Kanguva,’ Suriya is set to appear in ‘Suriya 43’ alongside Dulquer Salmaan, Vijay Varma, and Nazriya Fahadh. This film marks the reunion of Suriya and director Sudha Kongara after the critically acclaimed 2020 film ‘Soorarai Pottru,’ which earned the actor a National Award for Best Actor.

As Suriya takes a brief hiatus to recover from the minor mishap, fans eagerly await updates on the progress of ‘Kanguva’ and ‘Suriya 43,’ anticipating the stellar performances and compelling narratives that Suriya has consistently delivered in his cinematic endeavors.
