Parvati Nair, who was recently seen in the Vijay-starrer The Greatest Of All Time (The GOAT), is facing legal trouble following a complaint filed by a domestic worker alleging assault and abuse. The actor, along with five others, is currently under investigation after the worker, Subash Chandra Bose, accused them of physical and verbal abuse.
The Complaint and Allegations
Subash Chandra Bose, who worked at KJR Studios as a helper, claimed that in 2022 he was asked to perform domestic tasks at Parvati Nair’s residence. During his time working for her, several items, including a laptop, watch, camera, and mobile phone, reportedly went missing from her home. Nair then filed a complaint accusing Subash of theft.
Subash, after being released, alleged that when he returned to his work at KJR Studios, Parvati visited the studio and physically assaulted him by slapping him. He also claimed that the five other individuals accompanying her verbally abused him.
Subash initially lodged a complaint at the Teynampet Police Station in Chennai, but when no action was taken, he approached the Saidapet 19th Magistrate Court. Following the court’s orders, an FIR was registered against Parvati Nair and the five others under sections 296(b), 115(2), and 351(2) BNS. The investigation is now underway. As of yet, Parvati Nair has not released a statement regarding the allegations.

Parvati Venugopal Nair, originally from a Malayali family in Dubai, made her debut in 2012 with the Malayalam film Poppins. She gained recognition in Kannada cinema with the film Story Kathe in 2013 and made her Tamil debut in 2015 with the Ajith-starrer Yennai Arindhaal. Nair’s latest project, The Greatest Of All Time, directed by Venkat Prabhu and starring Vijay, was released on September 5, 2024. She is also set to appear in the upcoming Tamil film Aalambana.
The legal proceedings against her are still developing, and the outcome remains to be seen.
