Aayush Sharma’s latest action-packed film “Ruslaan” made its debut in Indian theatres, earning approximately ₹60 lakh nett on its first day, falling short of the ₹1 crore mark. Directed by Karan Lalit Butani, the movie features Sharma in the lead role alongside Sushrii Shreya Mishraa, Jagapathi Babu, and Vidya Malvade.
According to a report by Sacnilk.com, “Ruslaan” recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 6.42 percent on its opening day, with Chennai leading with the highest occupancy at 16 percent.
Sharma, who gained fame with his debut film “Loveyatri” in 2018 backed by Salman Khan Films (SKF), expressed his excitement about stepping into a new phase in his career. At the film’s trailer launch, he shared, “In my earlier two films, I shared the screen with him (Salman Khan). He has seen the film, and his blessings are always there with me. With this film, I am stepping out into the real world and working with new people. I hope I make him proud.”
The screening of “Ruslaan” witnessed a star-studded affair with Salman Khan arriving in style to support his brother-in-law. Arbaaz Khan also attended the screening, showing solidarity with Sharma.
Salman Khan had previously extended his support to “Ruslaan,” urging fans to watch the film in theatres. On Instagram, he wrote, “Ruslaan releasing on 26th April… go watch it in the theatres near you.”
“Ruslaan” revolves around the story of a rebellious character named Ruslaan, portrayed by Aayush Sharma, who strives to break free from societal norms. The film also features Telugu star Jagapati Babu, known for his role in Salman’s 2023 film “Kisi ka Bhai Kisi ki Jaan.”
