The dynamic duo of Prabhas and Disha Patani, along with director Nag Ashwin and the team, recently embarked on an exciting journey to Italy to shoot for a lively song sequence from their upcoming film, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. The eagerly awaited sci-fi epic, helmed by Nag Ashwin, is inching closer to completion, promising an enthralling cinematic experience for audiences worldwide.

Scheduled for release on May 9, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ boasts a stellar ensemble cast featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, alongside Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani in pivotal roles. As the production nears its final stages, the team has left no stone unturned to capture captivating moments, with Italy serving as the picturesque backdrop for a peppy musical number.

The film’s producers, Vyjayanthi Movies, shared glimpses of the shoot on social media platforms, delighting fans with behind-the-scenes updates. A group picture featuring Prabhas and director Nag Ashwin, among others, was accompanied by the caption, “Italy lo aata paata. (Song and dance in Italy)”, signaling the infectious energy and excitement on set. Additionally, a candid snapshot captured Disha Patani clicking a picture of Prabhas against the scenic Italian backdrop, adding to the camaraderie and camaraderie among the cast and crew.

Despite the challenges posed by the ongoing shoot and post-production processes, the team remains committed to meeting deadlines, with the majority of filming already completed. Deepika Padukone, who recently announced her pregnancy, has concluded her portions for the film, while Amitabh Bachchan, who sustained injuries during a stunt sequence last year, has displayed remarkable resilience by returning to the sets post-recovery. Similarly, Kamal Haasan joined the film’s production in June, contributing to the project’s grand vision.

‘Kalki 2898 AD’ promises to be a cinematic spectacle, weaving together elements of mythology and science fiction across millennia, from the epic events of the Mahabharata to the distant future of 2898 AD. Director Nag Ashwin expressed his vision for the film, stating, “The film starts with Mahabharat and ends in 2898 AD. It spans 6000 years in time. We tried to create worlds, imagining what they would be like while still keeping it Indian.”
