The box office collection of “Chandramukhi 2,” directed by P Vasu and featuring Kangana Ranaut and Raghava Lawrence in the lead roles, has been making waves in the Indian film industry. As per reports from Sacnilk.com, the film has grossed an impressive ₹28 crores in India thus far.
The movie kicked off its box office journey with an impressive start, earning ₹8.25 crores (including ₹5.58 crores in Tamil, ₹2.5 crores in Telugu, and ₹17 lakhs in Hindi) on its opening day. The momentum continued with collections of ₹4.35 crores on day two, ₹5.05 crores on day three, and ₹6.8 crores on day four, bringing its cumulative earnings to the attention-grabbing figure of ₹28 crores.
On its fifth day in theaters, “Chandramukhi 2” managed to gather ₹4.50 crores in nett collections across all languages, contributing to its overall domestic tally of ₹24.45 crores (comprising ₹18.48 crores in Tamil, ₹5.4 crores in Telugu, and ₹57 lakhs in Hindi). With these impressive numbers, the film’s total earnings in India have now reached ₹28.95 crores.
“Chandramukhi 2” serves as a sequel to the blockbuster Tamil horror comedy “Chandramukhi,” which featured Rajinikanth and Jyothika in pivotal roles. In this installment, Kangana Ranaut takes on the role of a dancer known for her beauty and dancing prowess in the king’s court, while Raghava Lawrence plays the role of King Vettaiyan Raja.
Produced by Lyca Productions and Subaskaran, “Chandramukhi 2” was originally scheduled for release on September 15 but faced delays due to technical reasons, ultimately hitting theaters on September 28. Ahead of its release, Raghava Lawrence, the film’s leading actor, met with Rajinikanth to seek his blessings and congratulate him on the success of his recent film “Jailer.”
