Tragedy at Sandhya Theatre Premiere
However, the film’s success has been marred by a tragic incident during its premiere at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad. Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and the cast were present at the venue to watch the film with fans when a massive crowd led to a stampede-like situation.
A woman lost her life, and her son was critically injured during the chaos. Authorities alleged that Allu Arjun failed to provide prior intimation to the police about the event, leading to his arrest on Friday.
Arjun’s Arrest and Bail
The Nampally Court initially sent Arjun to 14-day judicial remand. However, a leaked letter from the theatre management revealed that they had informed the police in advance and requested bandobast. The Telangana High Court granted the actor a four-week interim bail on Friday evening, allowing him temporary relief.
Industry Support
Several prominent film industry figures, including Varun Dhawan, Rashmika Mandanna, Nani, Ram Gopal Varma, Vivek Oberoi, Nithiin, Sharwanand, Sundeep Kishan, Adivi Sesh, and Rahul Ramakrishna, have expressed their solidarity with Allu Arjun. They criticized his arrest, calling it unfair and urging fans to focus on the film’s success.
