Stree 2 Box Office Collection Day 19: Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's Film Nears ₹500 Crore Milestone

Stree 2 continues to dominate the box office, inching closer to the prestigious ₹500 crore mark. Despite facing competition from Vedaa and Khel Khel Mein, the horror-comedy witnessed a slight dip in collections on its third Monday. According to a report by Sacnilk, the film earned ₹16.75 crore on Day 19, bringing its total domestic earnings to ₹486.8 crore.

Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 is the highly anticipated sequel to the 2018 hit Stree. The film, headlined by Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, follows the eerie tale of a headless entity terrorizing the town of Chanderi. The star-studded cast also includes Abhishek Banerjee, Pankaj Tripathi, and Aparshakti Khurana, with Akshay Kumar and Varun Dhawan making cameo appearances.

Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to social media to highlight the film’s remarkable performance, particularly its achievement of breaking the weekend box office record previously held by Baahubali 2. In his post on X (formerly Twitter), Adarsh noted, “‘STREE 2’ SHATTERS ‘BAAHUBALI 2’ WEEKEND 3 RECORD… 500 NOT OUT – WILL IT BE 600 PAAR?… #Stree2 is now going head-to-head with #Jawan as it crosses the ₹500 cr milestone… #Jawan: crossed on Day 18 #Stree2: crossed on Day 18 + Wed previews.”

Adarsh further emphasized the film’s success, mentioning that Stree 2 has officially joined the elite ₹500 crore club, standing tall alongside blockbusters like Jawan, Gadar 2, Pathaan, Baahubali 2 (Hindi), and Animal. He highlighted how Stree 2 broke the seven-year record set by Baahubali 2 for the highest third-weekend box office collection, with Stree 2 earning ₹48.75 crore compared to Baahubali 2‘s ₹42.55 crore.

Concluding his analysis, Adarsh hinted at the possibility of Stree 2 challenging the lifetime business of Jawan and potentially emerging as the highest-grossing film in Hindi cinema. The third-weekend figures for Stree 2 are impressive, with Friday bringing in ₹9.25 crore, Saturday ₹17.40 crore, and Sunday ₹22.10 crore, resulting in a total of ₹502.35 crore from India alone.
