Fahadh Faasil's Birthday Treat: New Poster for 'Pushpa 2' Revealed; Film Release Postponed to December

Today, on Fahadh Faasil’s 42nd birthday, fans have been treated to a thrilling new poster for the highly anticipated film, Pushpa 2: The Rule. The poster, unveiled by the film’s makers, showcases Faasil’s character, Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat IPS, in a striking new look that promises to heighten the tension and excitement surrounding the sequel.

In the latest poster, Faasil is seen in traditional Indian attire—a vest and lungi—holding a pistol in one hand and a spade in the other. The image depicts a menacing aura, with innocent villagers cowering in the background, hinting at the villainous role Faasil will play in the film. This poster is sure to captivate audiences and build anticipation for the film’s release.

Celebrating Faasil’s special day, a fan page dedicated to the actor shared the poster with the message, “Team #Pushpa2TheRule wishes the stellar actor #FahadhFaasil a very Happy Birthday. Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat IPS will be back with a bang on the big screens. #Pushpa2TheRule Grand release worldwide on 6th DEC 2024.” Rashmika Mandanna, Faasil’s co-star, also took to Instagram to wish him a happy birthday, sharing the poster on her stories and writing, “Happiest Birthday to you Sir.”

The release of Pushpa 2 has been postponed from its original date of August 15, 2024, to December 6, 2024. The film’s production team explained the delay in a statement, citing the need for additional shooting and post-production work. “Pushpa 2: The Rule is one of the most anticipated Indian films. Following the immense success of Pushpa: The Rise, our responsibility to deliver excellence has increased significantly. We have been tirelessly working to complete the movie and release it on time. However, due to the remaining shoot and subsequent post-production work, we will not be releasing the film on August 15th, 2024. This decision is made in the best interests of the film, the audience, and all stakeholders. Our goal is to provide a memorable experience on the big screen without compromising quality,” the note read.

Directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Pushpa 2: The Rule stars Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil in key roles. The film is a sequel to the blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise, which was released in 2021 and received widespread acclaim.
