He comes from a middle class family. His father was a shopkeeper but due to fire in his shop, he had no source of income, so Harish Rathod took singing away from himself to take care of his family and started teaching children in a coaching institute. Then he worked tirelessly for a government job and was selected as a postmaster in the post office and became a shield in front of his family’s financial problems. But his childhood addiction brought him back to the line of singing. He reconnected his career with singing with his irresistible struggle. He used to sing in Kirtan, Jagrata but he did not like this platform so much because his dreams were big. He wrote and sang his songs with the money he had saved, ‘Mujhko Tere Darshan Ho Jate’, ‘Khatu Dham Aaya’, and his first love song written & composed and acted by himself, ‘Main Saans Hoon’.

His song ‘Main Saans Hoon’ was a hit and gained popularity among people, YouTube and Social Media. The specialty of this song is that if you listen to this song with your eyes closed, then you will feel that the one who is very close to your heart and is still away from you for some reason, you will feel yourself close to them. You must listen to this song at least once with your eyes closed.

Harish Rathod difficult journey got a big platform: India’s Singing Icon. He learned a lot by coming on such a big show and impressed people with his contribution in singing.
