14-Year-Old Makes History on Kaun Banega Crorepati, Becomes Youngest ₹1 Crore Winner

In a remarkable display of intelligence and knowledge, a 14-year-old boy from Haryana, Mayank, etched his name in the annals of television history by becoming the youngest contestant ever to win ₹1 crore on the iconic quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati. His astounding feat on the 15th edition of the show hosted by the legendary Amitabh Bachchan left viewers in awe and admiration.

The journey of this Class 8 student from Mahendragarh was nothing short of exceptional as he navigated through the challenging questions with remarkable composure. Mayank’s confidence and ambition were palpable as he made his way through the rounds, demonstrating an impressive command of knowledge.

With a stunning display of gameplay, Mayank answered 15 questions effortlessly, accumulating ₹3.2 lakh without utilizing any lifelines. Even when he finally resorted to a lifeline for the ₹12.5 lakh question, his strategic gameplay remained intact, showcasing his resilience and strategic acumen.

The pivotal moment arrived when Mayank faced the ₹1 crore question, “Which European Cartographer is credited with creating the map that has the name America to the newly discovered continent?” Displaying his profound knowledge, Mayank correctly identified the answer as Martin Waldseemüller, securing the monumental prize of ₹1 crore.

Although he attempted the final question for ₹7 crore, Mayank chose to exit the game after conceding his inability to answer. Nevertheless, his exceptional performance earned him accolades not only from viewers but also from Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, who took to social media to extend his congratulations.

In response to his historic win, Mayank expressed his gratitude, acknowledging the unwavering support of his parents and the guidance provided by the show’s esteemed host, Amitabh Bachchan. “I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to display my knowledge on ‘KBC Juniors Week’ and play the game opposite Amitabh Sir, who motivated me throughout,” he said.

Mayank’s achievement stands as a testament to the power of knowledge and determination, showcasing the heights young minds can reach when given the platform and support to excel. His triumph not only brings pride to his family but also serves as an inspiration for aspiring intellects across the nation.
