Rs 40 Lakh Stolen From Music Composer Pritam's Mumbai Office, Police Investigate

Mumbai police have launched an investigation into the theft of ₹40 lakh from the office of renowned Bollywood music composer Pritam Chakraborty. The incident came to light after Pritam’s manager filed a complaint at Malad Police Station, stating that the money, brought to the office for work-related purposes, had gone missing.

Employee Allegedly Took the Money

According to the complaint filed by Pritam’s manager, Vineet Chheda, the amount was received and kept in the office a few days ago. At the time, an employee named Ashish Sayal was present in the office. Chheda then left for Pritam’s residence to get some documents signed.

Upon his return, Chheda found that the bag containing the cash was missing. Other office staff informed him that Sayal had taken the bag, saying he was going to deliver it to Pritam’s house. However, when Chheda tried to contact Sayal, his phone was switched off.

Employee Goes Missing, Police Investigation Underway

Chheda later went to Sayal’s residence, only to find that he was not there. Realizing that something was amiss, he immediately approached Malad Police Station and filed a complaint.

Police have launched a probe and are currently searching for Sayal. They are also reviewing CCTV footage and questioning other office staff to gather more details.

This shocking incident has raised concerns over security within high-profile workplaces. Authorities are working to trace the suspect and recover the stolen amount.
