Vijay's "Leo" Crosses ₹266 Crore Mark in First Week at the Indian Box Office

Vijay-starrer “Leo” has emerged as a box office sensation, crossing the ₹266 crore mark in India during its first week of release. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film has been a much-anticipated project and marks the reunion of the actor-director duo after their successful collaboration on “Master” in 2021.

Early estimates indicate that on its eighth day, “Leo” may continue its impressive run, potentially adding ₹11 crore to its box office earnings. This achievement further solidifies the film’s success, and it is expected to maintain its momentum in the coming days.

The box office journey of “Leo” has been remarkable since its release. According to reports from Sacnilk.com, the film opened with a bang, amassing ₹64.8 crore on its first day in India, with significant contributions from Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada markets. Subsequently, it continued to impress, earning ₹34.25 crore on day two, ₹38.3 crore on day three, and ₹39.8 crore on day four.

The film’s box office collections remained strong, with ₹34.1 crore on day five, ₹30.7 crore on day six, and ₹13.4 crore on day seven. The film’s total earnings have now reached an impressive ₹266.35 crore.

“Leo” has been receiving attention not only for its financial success but also for its narrative. The film explores themes of reformation and challenges the status quo, offering a thought-provoking storyline.

The star-studded cast of “Leo” includes Vijay, Sanjay Dutt, Trisha Krishnan, and Arjun Sarja. Even superstar Rajinikanth expressed his hopes for the film’s success, saying, “I pray to God that the movie should become a huge hit.”

The film’s release was a significant event, and Seven Screen Studios Production went to the extent of filing a petition before the Madras High Court, seeking permission for early morning screenings at 4 am across cinema halls in Tamil Nadu on the day of its release.

“Leo” continues to make waves in the Indian film industry, and its successful box office run reflects its widespread appeal and the anticipation that surrounded its release.
