“The Father of Diabetic Foot Surgery Sets Its Name in World Records”

Dr Amit Kumar C Jain, a Former Professor of Surgery and currently Consultant Surgeon at Amit Jain’s Institute of Diabetic Foot & Wound Care, Brindhavvan Areion Hospital, Bengaluru, India became the youngest Indian doctor (39 Years Old) to be referred to as ‘Father’ of a field (Diabetic foot) in medical literature for his original innovative work in diabetic foot over years as per records and published literature from India and this record has been set in Indian Book of records, Kalam’s World Records, Best of India’s Record and World Records India 2023.

Dr Amit Jain already had his world record of being the youngest doctor to have laid down principle and practice in diabetic foot field in medicine and the doctor with highest original eponymous work in Indian Book of records, Best of India’s Record and India’s world records.

If one could look back over past decades and presently in Indian medical literature, though many are doing good and quality work in respective fields of medicine, most do not have their original innovations forget about having multiple innovations.  One can sparsely see doctors having come out with an original, large principle and practice in their field.

Dr Amit jain, is one of the first in current times, not just from India but across world, to have the largest principle and practice on diabetic foot in field of medicine/surgery, which has been considered to be the modern diabetic foot surgery system from India with Dr Amit Jain getting his due credential title with a defined rationale for having an original pioneering & innovative work in diabetic foot over years as per published literature states Dr Gopal S, Professor of surgery,   Dr Chandramma Dayananda Sagar Institute of Medical Education and Research, Bengaluru. His further continuation of the innovative work in diabetic foot leading to evolution of super modern diabetic foot surgery is highly commendable and shows his undeterred vision and passion towards diabetic foot.

Often over years, it was seen in India and abroad and heard in webinars and conferences, wherein many were wrongly considered as legends/Father’s as they conducted activities like those who opens association or becomes its president for first time or remains in the position for years, those who opens large successful hospital or clinic for first time, those who sees high number of patients or does more surgeries, those doctors conducting course for first time, or those reproducing the published popular technique in their state or cities for first time, those conducting large conferences etc to be irrational reasons for these title that are absolutely untrue and most of them may not have persistent original innovative work of excellence as a rationale behind being called Father of the field, says Dr Gopal.

Dr Amit Jain’s work on diabetic foot, through the first principle and practice that was developed and published from India, was already recognised by the Doctor Directors of Brindhavvan Areion Hospital and as a mark of respect to his phenomenal work on diabetic foot, be it in his innovative research, surgeries, teaching and towards social cause, the management had named its wing after Amit Jain in 2017, which was record breaking move set in Grand Asian Book of World Records 2022, says Dr Kishore Kumar, one of the Directors of the hospital.

Dr Amit Jain’s unique teaching skills and tools, that has also been a record, which he presents with mesmerisation through his shows that no one was able to do it previously, his largest known independent project in diabetic foot in the world which he is running from several years along with his charitable trust adds to his charisma, says Dr Kishore kumar.

This said record by Dr Amit Jain is documented in official sites of Best of India’s Records (https://bestofindiarecords.in/) and World Records India (https://www.worldrecordsindia.com/).
