"Sarfira Box Office Update: Akshay Kumar's Film Crosses ₹15 Crore Mark by Day 5"

Akshay Kumar’s latest venture, “Sarfira,” has been making waves at the Indian box office since its release last Friday. Directed by Sudha Kongara, the film is a Hindi remake of the critically acclaimed Tamil movie “Soorarai Pottru,” which starred Suriya in the lead role. “Sarfira” continues to draw audiences with its compelling narrative inspired by the life of Air Deccan founder Captain G R Gopinath.

According to the latest updates from Sacnilk.com, “Sarfira” has amassed over ₹15 crore in its box office earnings so far. The film opened to a respectable start, collecting ₹2.5 crore on its first day. The momentum continued over the weekend, with collections of ₹4.25 crore on day two and ₹5.25 crore on day three. By day four, the film had added ₹1.45 crore to its total, with early estimates indicating an additional ₹1.95 crore on day five.

“Sarfira” features a stellar cast including Radhika Madan, Paresh Rawal, and Seema Biswas, alongside Akshay Kumar in the lead role of Vir Mhatre. Produced by the late Aruna Bhatia of Cape of Good Films, along with Suriya and Jyotika’s 2D Entertainment, and Vikram Malhotra’s Abundantia Entertainment, the film has garnered attention for its powerful storytelling and strong performances.

The Hindi remake follows the storyline of “Soorarai Pottru,” which won five National Film Awards in 2020, including Best Feature Film and Best Actor for Suriya. The narrative revolves around a protagonist who dreams of making air travel accessible to the common man, challenging the aviation industry with determination and support from his family and friends.

Director Sudha Kongara, who helmed both the Tamil original and its Hindi adaptation, shared her experience of bringing the story to diverse audiences. She emphasized the joy and challenge of presenting cultural nuances through different actors, enriching the narrative with fresh perspectives.
