In a dramatic twist to the ongoing investigation into the April 14 shooting incident at Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s residence, the Crime Branch has unveiled chilling details from its 1,735-page chargesheet. According to the chargesheet, conversations between the shooters and Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, were crucial in the lead-up to the attack.
The chargesheet, filed before a special court, reveals that Anmol Bishnoi, who is currently believed to be in Canada, had instructed shooters Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal to approach the attack with a menacing demeanor. Anmol allegedly directed the shooters not to wear helmets and to smoke cigarettes, intending to project a fearless image on CCTV cameras. He reportedly urged them to fire multiple shots at Khan’s Mumbai home to “make Bhai (Salman Khan) scared.”
The document includes audio clips from conversations on the Signal app between Anmol Bishnoi and the shooters. In these exchanges, Bishnoi allegedly emphasized the need to instill fear in Khan, saying, “Fire in a way that Bhai gets scared, keep smoking so that you appear fearless on (CCTV) camera.”
Salman Khan had previously stated in his testimony that he felt his family was at risk due to threats from Anmol Bishnoi. The chargesheet also highlights that Anmol Bishnoi was in constant communication with Gupta and Pal before the shooting, reinforcing their mission.
The investigation has led to the arrest of shooters Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, along with three others: Sonukumar Bishnoi, Mohammad Rafiq Choudhary, and Harpal Singh. All are currently in judicial custody. Lawrence Bishnoi, who remains imprisoned, is also named in the chargesheet along with Anmol Bishnoi and another individual, Rawtaran Bishnoi. A lookout circular has been issued for Anmol Bishnoi, who is sought by the authorities.
The chargesheet paints a picture of a calculated and orchestrated attack designed to terrorize the actor and his family. The police are continuing their efforts to track down Anmol Bishnoi and further unravel the network behind the threats and attempted intimidation.
