Saif Ali Khan Discharged After Elbow Surgery, Returns Home with Kareena Kapoor

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, aged 53, has been discharged from Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital after undergoing surgery for an elbow injury. The actor, accompanied by his wife Kareena Kapoor, made his first public appearance outside their Bandra residence.

Saif, donning a blue T-shirt and jeans with his operated elbow supported by an arm sling, was all smiles as he returned home. Kareena Kapoor, who went to pick him up, happily waved to the paparazzi gathered outside their Mumbai residence.

The elbow surgery was necessitated by an old injury that resurfaced during one of Saif’s recent film shoots. The actor reportedly suffered the injury while filming for Vishal Bhardwaj’s Rangoon in 2017. Admitted to the hospital on Monday, Saif underwent the surgery, and according to a source, he is now doing well.

In a statement post-surgery, Saif expressed gratitude for the support and stated, “This injury and the surgery that followed is a part of the wear and tear of what we do. I am very happy to be in such amazing surgical hands and thank all well-wishers for their love and concern.” However, he did not divulge specific details about the nature of the injury.

Saif Ali Khan was last seen in the film Adipurush, co-starring Prabhas and Kriti Sanon. The movie, directed by Om Raut, featured Saif in the role of Lankesh. Unfortunately, Adipurush faced challenges at the box office amid controversies.

The actor is gearing up for his next project, Devara: Part 1, alongside Jr NTR and marking Janhvi Kapoor’s Telugu debut. The official handle of the film conveyed wishes for Saif’s speedy recovery, expressing eagerness for his return to the sets. Devara, directed by Koratala Siva, boasts a star-studded cast including Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, and Narain. The two-part film is scheduled for a worldwide release on April 5, 2024.

As Saif Ali Khan recuperates from his elbow surgery, fans eagerly await his return to the silver screen, hopeful for a successful and healthy comeback.
