Pushpa 2: The Rule Reloaded – Allu Arjun Shares Unseen Footage, Including Japan Scene Ahead of Extended Version Release

The Rule Reloaded, featuring unseen footage from the much-awaited sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise. The video was released on January 14, ahead of the extended version’s release, scheduled for January 17.

The director of the Pushpa films, Sukumar, who turned 55 on January 11, celebrated his birthday with a special treat for fans. The teaser posted by Allu Arjun on his social media platform X (formerly Twitter) gave viewers a taste of additional scenes that had been left out of the original theatrical release of Pushpa 2: The Rule. The teaser offers glimpses of Allu Arjun’s character Pushpa Raj and Fahadh Faasil’s Bhanwar Singh Shekawat, diving deeper into the film’s story.

One of the most exciting aspects of this reloaded version is the inclusion of an extended 20-minute segment that fills in more context to the film’s narrative. Fans were particularly excited to see additional sequences set in Japan, which had sparked curiosity after being missing in the original release. In the new footage, Allu Arjun is seen wearing a kimono and slamming his hand on a table, fueling anticipation for the storyline’s progression.

The reloaded version of Pushpa 2: The Rule promises to elaborate on the opening fight sequence, offering more clarity and an extended experience that many fans were eagerly waiting for. Sukumar had previously hinted at the film’s expanded story, with a video titled “Where is Pushpa Raj?” teasing an intriguing direction for the character’s future.

The film, which was released in theatres on December 5, 2024, has already grossed over ₹1831 crore worldwide in just 32 days. Despite a slight delay in the release of the extended version (originally set for January 11), the team assures that the extra footage will deliver “whistle-worthy moments,” making the wait worthwhile.

Fans of the Pushpa franchise are thrilled for the extended version and are expressing their excitement online. One fan commented, “Those who have said that all of Pushpa 2 will make sense in Pushpa 3 will have a good time now.” Another fan eagerly wrote, “Looking forward to the extended version.”

Pushpa 2: The Rule Reloaded features an ensemble cast, including Rashmika Mandanna, Jagapathi Babu, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Dhananjaya, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj, and Ajay, alongside Allu Arjun and Fahadh Faasil. The extended version of the film is set to release on January 17, 2025.
