In a candid interview with India Today, actor Imran Khan spoke about his divorce from Avantika Malik and his newfound relationship with Lekha Washington. Imran revealed that during his divorce period, he was dealing with depression and realized that his marriage was not working. He emphasized the importance of a healthy dynamic in a relationship, where both partners uplift and support each other.
Imran expressed, “In an ideal, healthy dynamic between two people, you are both making each other better, healthier, stronger, and supporting each other to be the healthiest, best, strongest version. We were not in that place.”
Acknowledging his relationship with Lekha Washington, Imran debunked the perception of Lekha being labeled as a “homewrecker.” He clarified that they grew close during the lockdown, long after he had separated from Avantika and almost a year after Lekha had parted ways from her partner.
The couple made their public appearance at Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira’s wedding festivities in Udaipur and the reception in Mumbai. They were seen happily posing together, signaling a strong bond. Imran and Lekha were also featured in a family album shared by actor-director Danish Husain, where they looked stylish and content.
