Amid ongoing rumours surrounding the supposed separation of Bollywood stars Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has taken to social media to share a cryptic message. The rumours, which have been circulating online for some time, have intensified after the couple arrived separately at a high-profile wedding in July. However, neither Abhishek nor Aishwarya have officially confirmed or denied the claims.
In a recent post on his blog, Amitabh Bachchan expressed frustration with what he called the “fools and dim-witted people” who spread false information about others. He wrote, “There is no shortage of fools and dim-witted people in this world; They try to hide their own misdeeds by writing about others. Idiots and those with limited brain – never a dearth of such in this World; they make and print their own imbecile fakes each day to hide their own personal, brainless, half-witted deficiencies.”
Adding to the intrigue, the 81-year-old actor also shared a cryptic note on his X (formerly Twitter) account, which read: “T 5216 – People, who find their own meaning in every word, hide the misfortune of their personal life.” The message was interpreted by some as a response to the ongoing rumours about his son Abhishek’s marriage.
This is not the first time Amitabh Bachchan has responded indirectly to the separation speculations. Earlier this month, he posted a terse message on X, simply saying “Chup” (quiet) followed by an angry emoji, further fueling speculation that his post was in reaction to the media frenzy surrounding the Bachchan family’s personal lives.
The rumours about Abhishek and Aishwarya’s relationship began to gain traction when the couple was spotted arriving separately at a high-profile wedding earlier this year. The speculation grew further when Abhishek liked an Instagram post that discussed the rise in “grey divorces,” referring to older couples parting ways after long marriages. The post questioned why long-term relationships were ending, making the connection to Abhishek and Aishwarya’s marriage even more pronounced.
Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai married in April 2007 and have a daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, who was born in November 2011. The couple, known for their high-profile status, has worked together in several films including Dhai Akshar Prem Ke (2000), Kuch Naa Kaho (2003), Dhoom 2 (2006), Umrao Jaan (2006), Guru (2007), Sarkar Raj (2008), and Raavan (2010).
Despite the growing speculation, the couple has remained tight-lipped on the matter, and neither of them has directly addressed the divorce rumours. Fans and media outlets continue to closely follow any new updates from the Bachchan family, while the speculation shows no signs of slowing down.
