Renowned Telugu filmmaker Gopichand Malineni, celebrated for his high-octane action films such as “Krack” and “Veera Simha Reddy,” has announced his next ambitious project featuring Bollywood action star Sunny Deol. The film, tentatively titled “SDGM,” was officially launched on Thursday in Hyderabad, with the film’s cast and crew present at the event.
Gopichand Malineni took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to share the exciting news. Posting a picture from the film’s launch event and a poster displaying the tentative title “SDGM,” he expressed his enthusiasm for the project. “Excited to announce my next project with the Action Superstar @iamsunnydeol sir! Thrilled to be teaming up with @MusicThaman Bawa @RishiPunjabi5 sir, @NavinNooli brother and @artkolla for #SDGM. This venture is being produced by the amazing teams at @MythriOfficial & @peoplemediafcy. We need all your support and blessings,” wrote Gopichand.
Sunny Deol also shared the announcement on X, expressing his excitement for what is being dubbed as “the biggest action film of the country.” He wrote, “Make way for the biggest action film of the country – #SDGM. About SDGM
The film “SDGM” is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers, along with TG Vishwa Prasad of People Media Factory. This project marks Gopichand Malineni’s debut in Hindi cinema. The film also stars Saiyami Kher and Regina Cassandra in key roles. The technical team includes Rishi Punjabi as the cinematographer, Thaman S as the music composer, Naveen Nooli as the editor, and Avinash Kolla as the production designer. The shooting for “SDGM” is set to commence on June 22.
Sunny Deol, who recently made a successful comeback with “Gadar 2,” one of the highest-grossing films of 2023, is known for his robust action roles, making him a perfect fit for Malineni’s dynamic directorial style. Gopichand Malineni has recently delivered hits with “Krack” (2021) featuring Ravi Teja, and “Veera Simha Reddy” (2023) featuring Balakrishna. He also has another project with Ravi Teja in the pipeline.
